Territory Sales Representative (TSR) – Acute Ischemic Stroke (AIS) Portfolio – Field-based
Field-based Stryker’s Neurovascular division is focused on advancing the practice of minimally invasive stroke therapies. We are mission-driven to make healthcare better by providing innovative stroke care solutions, including clinical education and support to help physicians deliver better patient outcomes. The TSR is responsible for driving adoption and utilization of the Acute Ischemic Stroke (AIS) portfolio while supporting the Hemorrhagic (HEM) portfolio within a designated territory.
This role will partner closely with Territory Managers in the designated market to execute strategic plans and drive AIS procedure growth through strong clinical partnerships and consistent execution in high‑acuity environments.
- Deliver on the established annual sales quota for the defined territory.
- Implement and execute launch strategies developed by leading product education and in‑services, focusing on AIS solutions while supporting HEM portfolio awareness and access as appropriate.
- Complete a thorough analysis of the territory to identify key target accounts and partner with the Territory Manager to drive market growth, share gain, and customer engagement.
- Establish a quarterly business plan that outlines key activities and strategies to support product adoption.
- Prioritize activities and resource allocation toward high‑impact AIS opportunities in alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Build relationships with multiple customers within an account on a daily basis and keep them informed of new products, supply/inventory, and pricing trends.
- Support Marketing in developing education programs for physicians and other health professionals involved in the use of company products to accelerate adoption rates of new techniques and products.
- Participate in professional society meetings and trade shows to promote Stryker’s products.
- Maintain and increase professional and technical knowledge through on‑job training, attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and ownership in the storage, handling, and traceability of representative stock inventory.
- Ensure effective communication across functional groups, including messaging related to quality management system effectiveness, and work in accordance with quality system procedures.
- Minimum education level of a bachelor’s degree or 4 years of clinical sales experience (medical device and operating room experience preferred).
- Strong clinical and product knowledge of the AIS portfolio, with a working understanding of HEM solutions, and effective communication of this knowledge to customers.
- Ability to respond to customer questions and resolve challenges effectively.
- Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to present and demonstrate technical products in customer or clinical settings.
- Ability to drive an automobile and travel to customer sites by conventional means.
Base/Draw plus commission: $160,000 and may be eligible to earn commission and/or bonuses. Travel percentage: 40%.
