Business Development Specialist

Job Summary

The Business Development Specialist works closely with assigned sales executive and other members of the Business Development team to support the company's business development initiatives. This role involves coordinating procedures and initiatives for the new business review process and provide crucial support for sales executives and leadership. This role may will also engage in client-facing business development support and interact with consultants and advisors throughout the new business sale cycle.

• Support the 3-year strategic plan by identifying new leads, accounts, and business opportunities in the assigned verticals. (35%)
• Align resources, coordinate virtual technology efforts, and support sales executives to ensure a successful overview of new prospect clients for the Executive members of the organization. (25%)
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities. Manage pipeline reporting/activity tracking. Provide enterprise recurring and non-recurring Business Development reporting and updates. (20%)
• Assist sales executive in developing, writing, and designing proposals, RFP responses, and other client-facing documents. (10%)
• First line of defense to ensure that the new business process is in compliance with regulatory requirements. Resource for examinations as needed for requested materials, etc. (10%)

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years experience in business development, sales or marketing

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field
• 3+ years experience supporting Business development/Sales teams in Credit Card and/or Fintech sales environment

• Normal office environment. (Remote or Hybrid), 3 to 4 days per month are required in office if within 60 miles of a posted Bread Financial location.

• Ability to travel up to 10% annually
