Descriptionof Work
- Sample Preparation:
Prepare samples, standards, reagents, and quality control materials needed for laboratory testing - Instrument Operation:
Operate analytical instruments by following approved procedures and performing routine calibrations - Data Handling:
Record observations, enter data into laboratory systems, and review information for accuracy - Quality Assurance:
Apply laboratory quality rules, participate in studies, and maintain records that support reliable results - Sample Management:
Receive, sort, and document samples while verifying correct identification and container use - Reporting Work:
Produce clear scientific records and assist with creating reports that describe findings
- Full‑time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch
- Telework:
You will not have the option to telework in this position - Salary: S elected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $51,971 (before taxes)

- A bachelor’s degree in chemistry; or
- A bachelor’s degree that includes 30 credits in chemistry or biochemistry
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits
- This position requires possession of a valid Class C driver's license that is not under suspension
- You must possess and maintain a REAL‑ passport for this position. Proof of possession will be needed at the time of a conditional offer of employment
