Iron Mountain is seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer - Armed to join our Security team at the Boyers Underground Facility. In this role you will ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for employees, customers, and visitors while protecting the physical and intangible assets of our unique underground facility.

• Control daily access of individuals and vehicles into the facility, ensuring all entrants are properly identified and authorized, including conducting property searches using x‑ray equipment and magnetometers.
• Monitor security/fire alarm systems and CCTV assets; conduct routine visual inspections of key locations through scheduled roving patrols inside and outside the facility.
• Respond to alarms, security breaches, and emergencies in accordance with established procedures; collaborate with internal departments and public safety personnel to facilitate emergency evacuations.
• Document significant security or safety incidents and complete departmental reports with high accuracy.
• Provide specific direction to individuals regarding compliance with facility rules and regulations, quickly assessing and resolving situations that may present a threat.

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military environments is preferred.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage highly stressful situations with a calm demeanor.
• Maintain an average to above‑average level of physical fitness; confident in carrying a weapon and possessing sufficient strength to retain a weapon during a physical altercation.
• A valid Pennsylvania State Driver’s License with current PA residency is required.
• High School diploma or GED required (College degree preferred).
• Current Pennsylvania Act 235 Certification preferred; current EMT or EMR certifications highly encouraged.

• Pay:
  Starting at $20.70/hr + 10% Shift Differential for Overnights, Bi‑Weekly Direct Deposit.
• Shift: Panama Schedule (2‑2‑3);
  Two Shift assignments available – 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM.
