Overview
The Loss Prevention Specialist plays a key role in protecting the assets of the Distribution Center, focusing on operational shrink control, internal investigations, safety, and shortage root cause analysis. This position will work a variety of assignments within the department, including monitoring warehouse access control, gatehouse and distribution control, operations auditing, and internal investigations. Reports to the Loss Prevention Supervisor and takes direction from the Lead Specialist.
Responsibilities- Provide protection of all company assets including people, property, and information
- Conduct theft investigations including surveillance via CCTV and covert equipment
- Transact, audit and support operational teams with trailer yard activities
- Monitor alarm systems, building access, and fire and life safety regulations
- Monitor access control to the main warehouse and inbound/outbound freight flow
- Serve as a business partner in the area of operational processes and inventory to reduce shrink
- Handle confidential information with discretion
- Demonstrate attention to detail
- Analyze data and make informed decisions
- Action driven and results oriented
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment
- Relevant work experience in Loss Prevention, Asset Protection, Security and/or a Bachelor’s degree, or on track to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant major
- Prior Military or Law Enforcement a plus
- Demonstrates positive energy, motivation, and flexibility
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Professional Suites and able to learn in-house software packages
- Strong technical knowledge of CCTV equipment and systems
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather
- Experience working in an industrial setting: warehouse or distribution center

This position has a starting pay range of $20.00 to $21.00 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
