Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Electrician to support the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of campus electrical systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and contributing to a safe learning environment for students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

* Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment

* Perform preventative maintenance on lighting, panels, wiring, and campus facilities

* Respond to electrical service calls and emergency repairs

* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams

* Ensure all work complies with electrical codes and safety standards

* Collaborate with maintenance and facilities teams on campus projects

* Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities

Qualifications

* Valid Electrician License or Journeyman certification preferred

* Minimum 3 years of electrical experience in commercial or institutional settings

* Knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and safety procedures

* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

* Strong communication and customer service skills

* Ability to lift equipment and work in various indoor/outdoor environments

Physical Requirements

* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

* Standing, walking, bending, and operating equipment for extended periods
