Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
As a Facility Maintenance Technician, you help keep the plant running safely, smoothly, and efficiently. You’ll work hands‑on with electrical, mechanical, and general building systems while supporting daily operations and responding to maintenance needs across the facility. This role is a great fit if you enjoy problem‑solving, working with tools, and taking ownership of equipment reliability.
Responsibilities- Perform maintenance and repair on electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe work practices.
- Apply knowledge of lockout/tagout and other safety protocols.
- Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other equipment safely.
- Read and interpret diagrams, prints, and work instructions.
- Use basic computer systems to complete work orders and documentation.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
- Work collaboratively with maintenance and production teams.
- Attend required meetings and training sessions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by maintenance leadership.
- Demonstrate mechanical and electrical aptitude with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Read and interpret diagrams, prints, and technical instructions.
- Possess basic math, communication, and computer skills.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
- Have a positive attitude, dependable work habits, and the ability to work independently.
- Provide personal basic hand tools.
- Experience with pneumatics, plumbing, HVAC, or forklift operation is a plus.
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout a 12‑hour shift.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, and climb ladders.
- Comfortable working around oils, grease, solvents, and high‑noise environments.
- Able to wear all required PPE.
- Have good manual dexterity and the ability to distinguish colors.
$29.75/hour + shift differential.
Work Schedule7:00pm–7:00am following a 2‑2‑3 schedule (every other weekend off).
