** skilled, mechanically experienced technician
** to join our team as a Rehab & Accessibility Equipment Technician. This role is ideal for someone with a background in
** Durable Medical Equipment (DME), home accessibility modifications, construction, or mechanical service work
** who wants to apply those skills in a meaningful, patient-focused setting.
This is not a basic delivery position — it’s a
** hands-on technical role
** that requires experience installing, modifying, and servicing both medical equipment and home accessibility solutions. Your work will directly impact safety, mobility, and independence for the individuals we serve.
---## What You’ll Do
* Deliver, install, and configure
** DME and accessibility equipment**, including wheelchairs, hospital beds, patient lifts, stair lifts, ramps, and other home modification solutions
* Perform
** home accessibility installations and adjustments**, such as ramps, grab bars, and minor structural modifications to improve safety and mobility
* Complete
** mechanical assembly, fitting, and customization
** of equipment to meet individual client needs
* Troubleshoot and repair equipment using
** hand tools, power tools, and mechanical/electrical knowledge
*** Conduct
** preventative maintenance and safety inspections
** on equipment and installed systems
* Educate clients and caregivers on proper equipment operation and safety best practices
* Accurately document installations, service work, and client interactions
* Assist with equipment refurbishment, inventory, and warehouse support as needed---## What We’re Looking For
* Experience in
** DME/HME, home accessibility modifications, construction, or mechanical field service
** strongly preferred
* Proven
** mechanical aptitude**, including use of hand and power tools
* Experience with
** installation work** (ramps, lifts, basic carpentry, or similar) highly valued
* Familiarity with
** basic electrical systems (AC/DC) and diagnostic tools
** is a plus
* Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and adapt equipment in the field
* Physically capable of lifting, moving, and installing heavy equipment
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Comfortable working independently in a
** field-based environment
*** Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
