• Carpentry Work: Perform repairs and installations involving structures, furniture, drywall, doors, windows, and related items.
• Plumbing Tasks: Inspect, clean, and adjust pumps, regulators, fixtures, and other plumbing components.
• Electrical Services: Test, maintain, and repair building electrical systems, lighting, and equipment.
• Painting Preparation: Prepare and finish surfaces for painting, staining, or protective coatings.
• Safety Practices: Follow safety rules, use proper procedures, and maintain knowledge of trade standards.
• Work Guidance: Assist and direct semi‑skilled workers as assigned by supervisors.

• Full‑time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
• Work hours:
  
  8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch. Possible emergency call‑ins.
• Overtime as required.
• Telework: not available.
• Salary: starting salary may be non‑negotiable in some cases.

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (or equivalent Commonwealth or Federal Government job title).
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance involving at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver’s License.

• Meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.

• A conditional offer will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the Older Adult Protective Services Act, which requires submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to PA State Police and FBI clearance.
