This position supports electrical operations by installing, repairing, and maintaining systems and equipment throughout the facility. As a Electrician 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Electrical Installation: Install, alter, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures
- Problem Diagnosis: Locate power failures and short circuits to restore proper function
- System Upgrades: Replace circuit breakers and run new electrical lines as needed
- Fixture Work: Install wire, lighting fixtures, switches, receptacles, and ballasts
- Equipment Handling: Install and service air conditioners and prepare material lists for assigned jobs
- Blueprint Reading: Read blueprints and lay out electrical conduit for lighting and power

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours/week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Overtime may be required as necessary.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

- Successful completion of the Electrician Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);
or - Four years of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, components, and equipment;
or - An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
- You must pass a favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
