This position maintains and repairs vehicles, equipment, and emergency systems to support efficient operations at the South Mountain Restoration Center. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will perform the following duties:

• Vehicle Repairs:
  Perform major and minor repairs on cars, trucks, tractors, generators, and related equipment
• Inspection Duties:
  Maintain and inspect vehicles for compliance with state inspection codes
• Mechanical Work:
  Repair transmissions, brakes, clutches, alignments, and body components as needed
• Record Maintenance:
  Keep accurate service records for all vehicles and equipment
• Fuel Dispensing:
  Dispense gasoline, diesel fuel, and oil for equipment
• Welding Tasks:
  Complete welding and brazing work when required

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework:
  You will not have the option to telework in this position.

• Four years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade; or completion of an approved apprenticeship; or
• Any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

• You must possess of a valid Class C Driver's License.
• You must possess a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania State Inspection Mechanic certificate.

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. .
