Adult​/Geriatric Psychiatry - Philadelphia & Harrisburg, PA!

Medical Center is currently seeking a BC/BE Adult/Geriatric Psychiatrist for an employed position. This opportunity is located between Philadelphia & Harrisburg, PA.

The facility provides compassionate, short-term inpatient behavior and medication stabilization for up to 39 adults age 18 and older, with a dedicated 10-bed wing for older adults. The behavioral health services team includes psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, social workers, master’s level therapists, counselors, a recreation therapist, and even a pet therapy dog. The team collaborates to tailor treatments that help patients manage their behavioral challenges and return to a normal level of functioning without reliance on structured inpatient care.

• Interdisciplinary assessment, including psychiatric consultation, individualized treatment and discharge planning, and assistance with reintegration into community, job, and family life, plus family support.
• Group, family, and individual therapies as needed.
• Average length of stay about six days for most adults and about 12 days for most older adults 65+.
• 39-bed unit fully accredited by the Joint Commission and provides care 24/7.

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Adult/Geriatric Psychiatrist.
