Station Leader (Player-Coach)
Pay: Up to $95,000 per year + Monthly Bonus Opportunities
Location: Philadelphia (Onsite) | Field-Based | 24/7 Operation
Role OverviewThe Station Leader directs and guides all personnel involved in the delivery of Airline Ground Transportation Services at the station, fostering a high‑accountability team that exceeds client expectations and achieves company goals.
Responsibilities- Motivate and manage a team of 45‑50 drivers, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely operations.
- Ensure all routes run smoothly and on schedule.
- Oversee scheduling, KPI management, budget planning, and talent development.
- Elevate service levels to exceed client expectations, turning airline crews into loyal partners.
- Lead with a commitment to safety, ensuring compliance and timely issue resolution.
- Develop and maintain a reliable team of drivers dedicated to excellence.
- Manage operational activities and personnel assigned to transportation services dispatched from the station.
- Prioritize and ensure transit route and service commitments are met.
- Supervise, evaluate, and oversee recruiting and training of station staff.
- Investigate, document, and submit reports on station vehicle accidents and all necessary maintenance.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining budgetary financial reports.
- Conduct on‑site inspections of all vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Schedule all station drivers and regularly update based on demand and availability.
- Attend all scheduled manager meetings.
- Oversee, complete, and follow up on all disciplinary actions needed at the local station.
- Work closely with dispatch to avoid and resolve any service issues.
- Visionary leader who can inspire and drive a team to success.
- Basic computer and mobile technology skills are essential.
- Strong financial acumen, including P&L knowledge.
- Track record of building successful teams and advocating for drivers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum 2+ years of management experience (preferably in airline/airport or transportation) and 3+ years in transportation industry.
- Experience in safety management and fostering a safety‑first culture.
- Experience in training and coaching is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required; may need special city/airport permits.
- Resilient personality able to pivot and resolve difficult situations.

- Five years of experience in the transportation industry, including leadership or management responsibilities, preferred.
- Experience supervising transportation team members in a fast‑paced operational environment preferred.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record in accordance with company standards and insurance requirements.
- Ability to obtain and maintain any permits, badges, or authorizations required by airport authorities or regulatory agencies.
- Experience operating a shuttle, bus, passenger van, or other commercial passenger vehicle is preferred.
- Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position, including moving, loading, and unloading items weighing up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to perform duties in a variety of environmental conditions, including outdoor weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and humidity.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, including reading, speaking, understanding, and responding to operational instructions, traffic signs, safety information, customer inquiries, and required documentation, as necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
