Position overview
We are hiring an experienced Receiver for 1st shift at a logistics and fulfillment warehouse in Houston, TX. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime as needed. Pay ranges from $18-$20/hr, with flexibility for an exceptional candidate. This role is responsible for ensuring inbound shipments are accurately received, inspected, documented, and entered into inventory while maintaining warehouse organization and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
Examining receiving documents against purchase orders, packing slips, and Advance Shipping Notices (ASN) to verify receipt accuracy; inspecting incoming goods for damage or discrepancies and documenting findings through written reports and photographs; assisting with physical inventory, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation; operating forklift equipment to locate product and unload delivery trucks or containers as needed; coordinating delivery appointment scheduling for incoming shipments;

and resolving receiving issues with internal departments.

Requirements
Previous receiving experience preferred; comfort using computer systems, with Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred but not required; willingness to become certified on sit-down forklift and dock stacker equipment, with cherry picker and reach forklift certifications preferred but not required; strong math skills, attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs;

and willingness to work overtime as needed.
