Assistant Controller

Overview

The Assistant Controller will serve as a key member of the accounting leadership team, with primary ownership of the manufacturing and production-side accounting function. This role will partner closely with operations and plant leadership, supporting cost accounting, variance analysis, and KPI reporting, while also providing a long-term development path into broader controllership responsibilities.

• Lead accounting support for manufacturing and production operations
• Own cost accounting processes, including standard costing and variance analysis
• Partner with operations leadership to support KPI reporting and performance insights
• Support month-end close activities related to inventory, production, and cost centers
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and commercial teams
• Contribute to process improvement and ERP-driven accounting enhancements

• Strong accounting foundation with ownership of close and operational accounting
• Background in manufacturing or distribution environments strongly preferred
• Exposure to cost accounting, inventory, and production finance
• Public accounting experience preferred
• ERP experience required; SAP exposure strongly preferred
• Hands-on, curious, and collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
