Position Overview:

• Assume leadership of a multi-categorical, self-contained middle school classroom, fostering independence and maximizing growth for students with diverse needs.
• Develop and implement compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to drive student achievement across academic, social-emotional, and functional domains.
• Deliver highly effective, differentiated instruction through direct teaching to individual students and small groups, ensuring mastery of core curriculum concepts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Valid South Carolina Teaching Certification in Multi-Categorical Special Education or a related field (e.g. Emotional Disabilities, Moderate Disabilities, Elementary / Middle Disabilities, or Trainable Mentally Disabled)
