Plant Controller

Compensation:
Up to $100K.

Are you a hands‑on finance leader who thrives on driving operational performance? Our client is looking for a Plant Controller to join their Lancaster, SC facility and serve as the financial quarterback for a high‑performing manufacturing plant.

This is more than a traditional accounting role, it’s a strategic business partner position with visibility to plant and corporate leadership. You’ll play a critical role in cost control, operational efficiency, and financial performance while building your career with an organization known for innovation, sustainability, and investing in its people.

• Lead all plant‑level financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting
• Deliver timely, accurate monthly results and variance analysis
• Provide actionable insights that drive profitability and operational improvements
• Maintain and enhance standard costing and bills of materials
• Oversee physical inventory processes and perpetual inventory accuracy
• Analyze labor, materials, overhead, and distribution costs
• Identify and execute cost‑reduction and margin improvement opportunities
• Actively participate in daily and weekly production meetings
• Walk the plant floor to monitor production and costing dynamics
• Support capital planning and ROI analysis
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance and operations
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and SOX internal controls
• Safeguard plant assets and maintain strong financial discipline
• Partner with corporate finance on reporting and compliance matters

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
• 3+ years of manufacturing cost accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and standard costing
• ERP experience (JD Edwards preferred)
• Advanced Excel and strong analytical capabilities
• Confident communicator who can influence operational leaders
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
