Compensation:
Up to $100K.
Are you a hands‑on finance leader who thrives on driving operational performance? Our client is looking for a Plant Controller to join their Lancaster, SC facility and serve as the financial quarterback for a high‑performing manufacturing plant.
This is more than a traditional accounting role, it’s a strategic business partner position with visibility to plant and corporate leadership. You’ll play a critical role in cost control, operational efficiency, and financial performance while building your career with an organization known for innovation, sustainability, and investing in its people.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all plant‑level financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting
- Deliver timely, accurate monthly results and variance analysis
- Provide actionable insights that drive profitability and operational improvements
- Maintain and enhance standard costing and bills of materials
- Oversee physical inventory processes and perpetual inventory accuracy
- Analyze labor, materials, overhead, and distribution costs
- Identify and execute cost‑reduction and margin improvement opportunities
- Actively participate in daily and weekly production meetings
- Walk the plant floor to monitor production and costing dynamics
- Support capital planning and ROI analysis
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance and operations
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and SOX internal controls
- Safeguard plant assets and maintain strong financial discipline
- Partner with corporate finance on reporting and compliance matters
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
- 3+ years of manufacturing cost accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and standard costing
- ERP experience (JD Edwards preferred)
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical capabilities
- Confident communicator who can influence operational leaders
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
