Job Description Summary

At MUSC, oncology care is more than treatment—it’s a journey. We’re looking for an Infusion & Oncology RN Manager who thrives at the intersection of clinical excellence, coordination, and human connection. This role is ideal for an oncology nurse leader who wants to deeply partner with a dedicated disease team and ensure patients experience seamless, high‑quality care at every stage of therapy.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all clinical care within the oncology clinic to maximize patient safety, quality outcomes, and satisfaction for patients and colleagues.
  • Utilize the nursing process (Assessment, Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation) to coordinate patient care in the clinic setting.
  • Manage and support: order entry and EPIC In Basket communication; patient education and individualized care planning; appointment coordination and follow‑up; transitions between systems, locations, and therapies (Radiation Oncology, Surgery, Chemotherapy, Palliative Care, Survivorship).
  • Provide hands‑on clinical support, including patient triage; medication administration; assisting with procedures; ongoing care coordination during clinic visits.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, respect, and shared accountability.
Qualifications Experience
  • Previous oncology nursing experience preferred.
  • Infusion nursing experience strongly preferred.
Education
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required).
  • Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Licensure & Certifications
  • Active RN licensure with the South Carolina Board of Nursing or compact state (required).
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification (required or must be obtained).
  • Current BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association (AHA).
