Job Description Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is paraprofessional person who is specifically trained, competent and performs assigned functions of personal care to the patient in their residence under the direction, instruction and supervision of the registered nurse (RN). The CNA performs duties of personal care given to chronically ill, disabled, and or terminally ill patients in their homes. The Certified Nursing Assistant will work with patient and families to provide them with personal care and assist in the delivery of activities of daily living.

The Certified Nursing Assist with assists family members to care for their family member whenever possible and advocates for the needs of the patient. The Certified Nursing Assistant is a member of the IDG team responsible for supporting medical staff in administering care to the patient.

Must be registered with the South Carolina State Board of Nursing. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required
