Quality Control Chemist II

Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Quality Control Chemist for a direct hire opportunity with one of our clients, a leading nutraceutical company in Lancaster, SC.

We are searching for a driven QC Chemist II who thrives in a cGMP environment and is passionate about ensuring the safety, integrity, and quality of nutraceutical and dietary supplement products that make a real difference in consumers’ lives.

• Deliver Excellence in Analytical Testing: Conduct routine and complex chemical analyses—including raw material, intermediate, finished product, and stability sample testing—using industry-standard techniques and instrumentation like HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, and FTIR.
• Champion Laboratory Operations: Operate and maintain state-of-the-art analytical equipment, prepare standards and reagents, and ensure all laboratory protocols are strictly followed.
• Uphold Regulatory Compliance: Diligently review, document, and verify analytical data in alignment with cGMP, GDP, and robust FDA guidelines. Participate in laboratory investigations (such as OOS/OOT/CAPA) to drive continual improvement.
• Support Product Innovation: Assist with method validation, method transfer, and stability testing—supporting the consistent launch of innovative, high-quality nutraceutical products.
• Drive Operational Impact: Bring your keen attention to detail, technical troubleshooting abilities, and passion for quality science to foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of hands-on analytical chemistry experience in an FDA-regulated lab (pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, or similar).
• Proven skills operating a range of sophisticated analytical instrumentation:
• HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR.
• Solid understanding of cGMP, GDP, and industry documentation requirements.
• Competence in wet chemistry techniques and all aspects of sample preparation.
• Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) or chromatography data platforms (e.g., Empower) is a plus.
• Strong analytical problem-solving, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and within collaborative teams.
