As a Government Center Security Guard – Full Time in Lancaster, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients across a range of industries such as government. In this unarmed patrol officer role, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service.

Friday: 06:00 PM–06:00 AM
Saturday: 06:00 PM–06:00 AM

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at the government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and solution‑oriented, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, controlled access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and policy violations.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and permissions as required, and communicate with site personnel regarding security‑related concerns or developing situations.
• Support order throughout the location by following post instructions, maintaining a visible presence, and assisting with routine security‑related duties in varying conditions and environments.

• Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation subject to federal, state, and local laws.
• Consideration of qualified applicants with criminal histories in accordance with applicable laws.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and regulations, may be required prior to employment.
