Job Responsibilities
Supervises and assists in the performance of maintenance and preventive maintenance of electrical fire alarms, CCTV, electronic security, PA, intercom and high voltage distribution systems, emergency generators and equipment.
Plans electrical work including repairs to high voltage equipment and systems.
Reads blueprints and wiring diagrams and makes take-offs.
Requisition s materials and parts needed.
Ensures completion of installation/repairs.
Makes emergency repairs to electrical system and equipment.
Performs on-the-job training of inmates.
Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and experience in the construction or repair of secondary electrical systems. Relevant experience may be substituted for the required diploma on a year-for-year basis.
