Job Title
Under regular supervision, configures new vehicles and equipment. Also, assists with tasks involving services, maintenance and repairs to County vehicles and other motorized equipment including, trailers, etc. ensuring proper working order. Performs preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment. This class receives direction and leadership from the Fleet Manager and Shop Foreman who coordinates, assigns, and monitors work assignments.
Typical QualificationsMinimum Qualification(s) Required. Any combination of training, education, or experience equivalent to two years' experience in automotive repair or new vehicle preparation, which includes at least one year experience in the service and installation of motorized equipment. Preferred/Desirable Qualification(s). Graduation from high school or GED is preferred.
