Position SummaryThe HR Assistant provides clerical and administrative support to the human resource department. The role may involve recruitment, payroll administration and other HR areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provide support for the recruiting process (e.g., schedule interviews, send background checks, attend job fairs/recruitment events, conduct drug tests and contact select candidates).
- Coordinate new hire orientation process (schedule orientation, prepare orientation paperwork, create employee files), including I-9 completion/compliance.
- Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
- Support auditing, review and processing of paperwork and forms.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives, including engagement, job fairs and HR assessments.
- Maintain confidentiality and perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Support company Open Enrollment period to ensure smooth processing.
- Support payroll processing.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 year of Human Resources/payroll/clerical experience preferred.
- Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months.

- Occasionally handling/fingering, sitting.

- Constantly walking and standing.
- Ability to lift/carry and push/pull 21–50 pounds; reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel.
The employee is rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is usually low to moderate.
