Position OverviewThe Human Resources Administrator serves as the on-site HR leader supporting plant operations in Lancaster, TX. This role acts as the primary HR contact for employees and supervisors, overseeing recruiting, employee relations, payroll coordination, compliance, and workforce engagement initiatives.
This position is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a hands‑on manufacturing environment and enjoys balancing recruiting, compliance, employee support, and operational partnership.
Primary Responsibilities Recruiting & Onboarding- Manage full-cycle recruiting for plant-level roles (job postings, screening, interviews, pre-employment processing).
- Coordinate onboarding, new hire orientation, employment documentation, and benefits enrollment support.
- Partner with supervisors to meet workforce staffing needs efficiently.
- Serve as primary point of contact for employee concerns and workplace issues.
- Support supervisors with performance management, coaching, and corrective action processes.
- Lead or assist with workplace investigations and document findings.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (I-9, FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.).
- Communicate and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Review and audit timecards for accuracy; resolve discrepancies with supervisors.
- Coordinate with corporate payroll to ensure timely processing.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information.
- Maintain accurate personnel files, training records, and HR databases.
- Prepare and submit required HR reports.
- Coordinate plant training initiatives (safety, compliance, skills development).
- Participate in plant leadership meetings and communicate HR updates.
- Support employee engagement, retention, and culture-building initiatives.
- Partner with corporate HR on process improvements and HR projects.
Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and compliance requirements.
- Strong recruiting and employee relations experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with plant employees and leadership.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of HR administrative experience required.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Experience supporting plant or production teams strongly preferred.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to walk production areas and climb stairs as needed.
- Occasional lifting up to 15 lbs.
- Frequent presence on the manufacturing floor.
