System Specialist - WMS Superuser - LBJ Fwy

Position SummaryThe WMS Super User is responsible for the efficient transmission of information and the storage and analysis of information by means of computer networks and systems, the Internet, and computer databases. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, installing, maintaining and supporting the facility’s computer systems. The Super User provides general maintenance and system updates on network hardware and software, analyzes problems, and monitors networks to ensure availability to users.
May gather data to evaluate system performance, identify user needs, and determine system and network requirements. May be required to be on call outside of normal business hours to resolve system failures or other problems. The Super User uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Acts as the primary support for the client’s systems solutions for the user community.
- Develops and maintains tracking tools for support service requests and resolutions by location and resource.
- Engages appropriate expert resources when complex support issues arise outside of WMS‑Red Prairie and/or SAP application.
- Works with the company’s team to close support service request issues and support testing activities.
- Works with project teams to implement, maintain, and improve internal systems.
- Ensures company and company assets are maintained responsibly.
- Effectively communicates relevant IT‑related information to site management and client management.
- Maintains system efficiency, ensuring the site’s computer system allows all components (computers, network, software) to work properly together.
- Tests and coordinates modifications to the system when needed, troubleshooting problems as they occur.
- Maintains communication with corporate IT and operations staff.
- Works with corporate IT to resolve complex issues.
- Determines ways to store, organize, analyze, use, and present data in collaboration with IT.
- Produces regular reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Ensures all RF Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are current.
- Trains associates on updated SOPs, Microsoft Office, WMS programs, and RF guns.
- Responds to all inquiries about WMS‑Red Prairie and/or other related computer issues.
- Refers questions to appropriate persons when needed.
- Communicates professionally with all internal and external customers, maintaining etiquette standards with management members, coworkers, customers, and visitors.
- Assists with various research projects and special projects.
- Accounts for overseeing manpower, recruiting, retention, and development of people in the operation’s scope.
- Ensures procedures exist at all sites to guarantee client service, productivity, and facility and equipment maintenance.
- Sets goals to provide continuous improvement for the assigned site.

Computer Skills
- Mid to Senior Microsoft Office skills.
- Technical knowledge of technologies appropriate to the assigned application or set of applications, business unit or region.
- Experience in administration and maintenance of infrastructure, software, systems, etc.
- Experience with Red Prairie, RF/RDTs, UNIX, proprietary WMS.
- Wi‑Fi experience / RF systems and equipment experience.
- English (reading, writing, verbal ability).
- Interpersonal communication skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing).
