About

the Role

Core Health & Fitness is a global manufacturer and distributor of commercial fitness equipment, representing several of the leading brands in the industry. Our IT Infrastructure team supports more than 400 users across our global footprint, spanning manufacturing, distribution, corporate, and field operations.

We are hiring a Systems Administrator, Distribution Operations to join our global IT Infrastructure team, based at our Lancaster, Texas facility — the company’s primary North American distribution hub. This is a full member of the global infrastructure organization, not a site-only support role. You will contribute to enterprise infrastructure projects, standards, and operations alongside colleagues on the West Coast, while owning the on-site technical footprint of our highest-throughput fulfillment location.

Our infrastructure team currently operates almost entirely from the Pacific time zone. Establishing a Central-time presence extends our operational coverage, shortens response times for a distribution environment, and strengthens our resilience against off-hours incidents. The person in this role becomes a key part of that coverage model — and a trusted technical voice in how the global team designs and operates distributed sites.

This is a hands-on generalist position spanning servers, networking, endpoints, cloud, and security. It suits someone who wants both the breadth of enterprise infrastructure work and the ownership that comes with being the senior technical presence at a business-critical site.

Why this role matters

The Lancaster distribution center is the operational backbone of our North American business. Order fulfillment, shipping, and warehouse operations across the region depend on the systems at this site staying available.

You are the person who keeps them running — and the Central-time anchor that closes a real coverage gap for our global team.

Key Responsibilities Global Infrastructure Contribution
  • Serve as a full member of the global IT Infrastructure team, participating in enterprise projects, architecture discussions, standards development, and change management alongside Pacific-time colleagues.
  • Provide Central-time monitoring and first response for infrastructure and security events, extending team coverage and escalating to the global infrastructure and security teams as needed.
  • Support cloud workloads across Microsoft Azure and Oracle OCI, in coordination with the infrastructure team.
  • Contribute to enterprise documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-base content that reduce key-person dependencies and enable cross-training across the global team.
  • Act as a subject-matter resource to the broader IT organization on distribution and warehouse technology, informing standards applied at other Core sites.
Site Infrastructure Operations
  • Own the on-site infrastructure footprint at the Lancaster distribution center, ensuring high availability of the systems supporting warehouse, shipping, and fulfillment operations.
  • Administer, monitor, and maintain minimal on-premise Windows servers and supporting infrastructure, including patching, firmware updates, backup verification, and capacity planning.
  • Manage local network infrastructure — switching, wireless, VLANs, and firewalls — and coordinate primary and backup ISP connectivity.
  • Maintain accurate asset, configuration, and network documentation for the site within enterprise standards.
Distribution & Warehouse Technology
  • Support distribution-specific hardware and software including shipping systems (UPS World Ship / Ship Exec), scan…
