The City of Lancaster is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Worker II to assist with the maintenance and repair of City streets, storm water drainage systems, and public infrastructure. This position involves performing general maintenance, clearing drainage channels, removing debris, mowing, tree trimming, and assisting with street and roadway repairs while following safety procedures.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- More than one (1) year of experience in operations and maintenance work required.
- Experience with street maintenance, drainage systems, or general construction preferred.
- Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment, machinery, and hand tools.
- Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred; applicants without a CDL must obtain one within the required timeframe after employment.
- Clean driving record required.
