Description

Provide direct daily supervision of part distribution center (PDC) personnel to ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the distribution center. Daily supervision and direction is guided by the various Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements that drive the Mobis vision. Assist in the development of programs to train and motivate personnel to maximize productivity and quality. Coach, counsel, develop, and discipline employees in an effort to reach key accountability initiatives within the PDC.

Ensure best practices are being followed in regards to all processes, creating checks through an audit process that aligns with company expectations. Monitor adherence to the work schedule, driving performance that minimizes the need for extended work hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all aspects of training, including developing programs, training and supervising trainers and performing on‑the‑job training with new processors or existing processors learning new skills. Safety training is of particular importance.
  • Manage all aspects of direct‑report performance, including formal bi‑annual performance reviews, monthly performance discussions, daily audits in all major functional areas and daily coaching based on audit findings.
  • Supervise and monitor daily volumes and activities in all disciplines to ensure all operating KPIs, objectives, and performance standards are achieved reliably and on time. Ensure that proper resources are allocated and utilized in the most cost‑effective manner.
  • Supervise and monitor all administrative and support functions to ensure that all business is completed in an accurate and timely manner. Maintain daily communication with PDC Manager and both internal and external customers. Establish processes to control spending in all areas and within budgetary guidelines.
  • Supervise and prioritize inventory‑related activities to include parts inspections, mixed‑stock situations, cycle counts, and resolutions for problematic dealer returns.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling and discipline subordinates where appropriate and within established guidelines by MOBIS Parts America and defined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Develop and implement daily plans for resource allocations. Ensure that equipment is utilized and maintained to gain maximum efficiency through development and administration of sound preventative maintenance programs.
  • Supervise all inbound receipts and outbound shipments to ensure that they are executed within published KPI’s, standards and budgetary guidelines.
  • Ensure that all records and reports regarding activity are prepared as required. Review operating KPI’s, goals and standards and develop appropriate plans for attainment.
  • Supervise the integrity of all material movements to ensure proper counts and controls.
  • Evaluate housekeeping, security and sanitation levels. Operate in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations and within the framework of established work processes.
