The Training Specialist reports to the Human Resources Manager or Training Manager on site. Responsibilities include coordinating and delivering training courses required by DSV and its clients, covering quality control, work measurement, logistics procedures, safety/HR, and work instructions. The role also involves developing and conducting competency training specific to systems and leadership development, and providing ongoing support to employees in these areas.
EssentialDuties And Responsibilities
- Orient new Associates and provide refresher training for current associates on site policies.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge in relevant fields.
- Monitor, measure, and report staff training and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timelines.
- Facilitate shift training on operations, quality, standard updates, and procedure updates.
- Implement OJT training programs as required to improve site performance.
- Conduct and supervise training and development programs for employees.
- Plan and deliver OJT training courses and programs necessary to meet training needs.
- Enter all training information into the database.
- Ensure all training programs meet regulatory, DSV, and client requirements.
- Ensure site programs are audit‑ready to meet ISO (client) & 5‑Star (DSV) requirements.
- Arrange maintenance of all necessary equipment and materials related to effective delivery and measurement of training.
- Plan, develop, and implement strategy for staff training and development; establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects.
- Verify certification and equipment validation for associates hired as equipment operators.
- Issue all certification cards, s, and safety cards to new hires and for renewals.
- Answer associate questions or find appropriate answers.
- Collaborate with management and operations teams to ensure business and operational needs are met.
- Evaluate associate skill levels to identify gaps and retrain on updates.
- Accurately reflect staffing changes in the database and training files; remove former associates’ files in accordance with retention timelines.
- Maintain supply of forms, orientation packets, and safety packets.
- Communicate all information with the manager.
- Remain flexible with scheduling; may be required to change days or hours of work for training.
- Complete any tasks assigned by members of the Management Team.
- Work overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months, ranging from mild to moderate.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience in warehousing and/or logistics.
- Preferred: 1 year of clerical experience.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.

- English (reading, writing, verbal).
- Bilingual a plus.
- Intermediate mathematical skills.
- Effective communication skills at various management levels.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Experience developing and implementing training programs.
- Knowledge of inventory management procedures and warehousing terminology best practices.
- Positive and professional attitude.
- Completes work with limited supervision.
