Position SummaryThe Material Handler is responsible for picking, scanning, labeling, moving, staging, replenishing, and stacking product. This individual counts and inspects product and notifies leadership of damages or discrepancies. Associates are accountable for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and will perform duties as assigned. As part of the DSV team, Associates are expected to meet company objectives in performance, safety, and quality and comply with all corporate and site-specific policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Picking Responsibilities
:
Use a pallet jack to accurately pick orders, stage products, and prepare items per client requirements. Stack, package, band, shrink wrap, and label products as defined by Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). - Quality Control Responsibilities
:
Verify products and orders meet quality standards, document damages or discrepancies, and perform stacking, packaging, shrink wrapping, and labeling per SOP. - Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance
:
Execute safety protocols, maintain a clean and orderly work area, and comply with SOPs, policies, safety rules, and OSHA/SDS standards. - Equipment Operation
:
Operate equipment (e.g., pallet jack) safely and efficiently; maintain and report equipment issues; follow prescribed work methods. Includes maintenance tasks as assigned. - Other Duties
:
Perform other duties as assigned.

MinimumRequired Qualifications
- Education and/or Experience
:
High school diploma or GED. - Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations
:
None
- Language Skills
:
English (reading, writing, verbal) - Mathematical Skills
:
Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities, count inventory, and perform related duties. - Other
:
Strong attention to detail, ability to work with minimal supervision, and adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
- 6 months of experience in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment
- Current or prior MHE certification
- Occasionally
:
Handling/Fingering, Sitting - Frequently
:
Bending, Walking, Standing - Ability to Lift/Carry and Push/Pull
: 21-50 pounds; reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat or kneel
The employee is rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles; the noise level is usually low to moderate.
