The regional Truck Driver safely and efficiently completes regional deliveries with care, professionalism, and precision. The CDL A Driver is responsible for executing same-day pickup and delivery (P&D) operations within a defined geographic area, ensuring safe, timely, and accurate transportation of freight. This role requires a safety-first mindset, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality, professional service. Drivers are expected to manage multiple stops per shift, maintain accurate shipment documentation, and represent DSV professionally at all customer interactions.

• Drives semi-tractor/trailers for up to 11 hours after 10 hours off-duty on runs of up to one week or more.
• Backs trailers to customer dock.
• Maintains compliance with Federal and State safety regulations and safe and professional driving behavior.
• Communicates with customer representatives in pleasant, respectful, and efficient manner.
• Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers.
• Complies with all DOT requirements including drug and alcohol testing (subject to random and reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing).
• Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle.
• Ensure that any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving.
• Swings and secures trailer doors.
• Performs other duties as required.

• Valid CDL A License required
• Minimum 2 years of CDL A driving experience within the last 4 years (3+ years preferred)
• Must meet DOT qualification requirements (FMCSR 391.41)
• No positive drug or alcohol test results in the past five years.
• No accident involving bodily injury within the last three years.
• Experience in local P&D operations, multi-stop routing, and urban driving environments preferred
• Strong understanding of load securement and freight handling
• Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS and route planning tools
• Demonstrated customer service skills and professionalism in customer-facing environments
• Experience handling high-value or sensitive freight preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• TWIC card (or ability to obtain within 90 days, if required)
• Hazmat endorsement preferred

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to operate a commercial vehicle and perform physical freight handling activities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
