Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused CDL Driver to support the daily operations of chemical distribution. This role involves the safe and efficient operation of Class8 tractors and related equipment to transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials, including both liquid and dry products. Responsibilities include performing bulk and packaged deliveries, executing proper loading and unloading procedures, completing required documentation, and ensuring compliance with DOT, OSHA, and Brenntag's safety standards.

• Daily operation and driving of a power unit (Class8 tractors and lower) for chemical distribution.
• Transport HAZMAT and non‑hazardous materials for outside deliveries, in‑plant movements, and inter‑company branch transfers.
• Manage bulk deliveries of liquids and solid materials—loading, unloading, and securement using pumps, air, etc., and ensure all paperwork is completed.
• Manage packaged deliveries of materials in drums, IBCs, other containers, palletized goods, and supersacks; handle loading, unloading, securement, and paperwork.
• Operate and maintain all equipment, including ELDs, virtual gateways, camera systems, and tracking units.
• Follow all DOT, OSHA, Brenntag safety standards and company procedures; conduct pre‑inspection, daily logs, and report repairs.
• Communicate with supervisors or dispatchers for delivery instructions.

• High school diploma, GED, or US military experience.
• Experience in chemical delivery considered a plus if education or service requirements are not fully met.
• ClassA CDL with Tanker, Bulk, and/or Hazmat endorsement (as required for the role).
• Current DOT medical card and current TWIC card or proof of application (if required).
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• Certification to operate pallet jacks (electric or manual); forklift certification if required.
• Ability to operate dock locks, dock levelers, and other delivery/pickup equipment.
• Strong housekeeping skills; maintain equipment in good working order.
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
• Comfortable with general warehouse duties and use of applicable equipment.
• Detail- and customer-oriented with good organizational skills.
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow written instructions in English; good basic math skills.
• Complete all required training and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Ability to learn and operate technology-based devices such as smartphones, tablets, and transport software.
