Aboutthe Position
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for coaching and leading warehouse associates. The role includes coaching teammates, training new hires and forklift drivers, and performing own tasks such as shipping/receiving, packaging, inventory control, and general warehouse functions or material handling operations.
Responsibilities- Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers; conduct Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) and annual recertification training.
- Conduct EIP, performance, and maintenance observations.
- Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products or materials for distribution; load, unload, and store items in designated areas.
- Complete applicable paperwork (e.g., shipping/tracking labels) per standard operating procedures and regulatory agencies (DOT, IATA, IMDG, etc.).
- Participate in inventory/cycle count activities and report variances to leadership.
- Perform daily safety inspections per the Safety Checklist on forklift trucks.
- Ensure facility is inspection ready for SQFI, FDA, and customer needs.
- Communicate and report incidents to supervisor.
- Ensure product rotation procedures are followed.
- Review and analyze daily production reports.
- Serve as backup to other warehouse roles as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of prior warehouse/distribution operations experience.
- Minimum 6 months of leadership or supervisory experience and/or training in a distribution environment.
- Must be a licensed forklift operator or willing to obtain a Forklift Operator license.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

This position is not expected to travel.
