Seasonal Administrative Assistant
Wyoming State Parks, Historic Sites and Trails is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill a seasonal Administrative Assistant position with the Trails program and Shoshone District. This position will provide critical administrative support to our staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional visitor service.
$16-18/hr. 40 hrs./week 9-month term Stationed at Lander Trails office

Essential Functions:- Provide administrative support to district staff, including scheduling appointments, maintaining calendars, and managing travel arrangements.
- Answer phones and emails in a courteous and professional manner, directing inquiries and concerns appropriately.
- Review and process paperwork, including purchasing card reports, travel vouchers, applications, and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with data entry and maintain accurate park records in a digital database.
- Compile reports and create documents using office software (Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite preferred).
- Maintain office supplies and equipment, ordering and restocking as needed.
- Provide customer service to visitors, answering questions, offering assistance, and issuing permits where applicable.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and Shoshone District Manager.
Preferences/Agency Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of administrative experience in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are preferred.
Agency requires that the successful applicant have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Suite
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a positive and professional attitude.

Working Conditions:
Work is typically performed in an office environment. Some travel within the Shoshone District (Rawlins, South Pass City, Evanston, Fort Bridger) may be required.

- FLSA:
Non-Exempt - This is an hourly position. We pay on the last working day of the month.
- Housing is not provided.
- You are eligible for Insurance Benefits on the first day of your fourth month of employment.
