We are currently looking for a Construction Manager to oversee the Goshen Tunnel Rehab Project. The project consists of rehabilitating and enlarging two nearly 100‑year‑old irrigation tunnels to an 18‑foot diameter, along with associated portal structures. Located near Torrington Wyoming, the tunnels provide irrigation water to Easter Wyoming and Western Nebraska. The work is split between two contractors, with portal construction delivered via Design‑Bid‑Build (DBB) and tunneling performed under a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) contract.

Tunneling will occur over two non‑irrigation seasons (September–May).

In the role of Construction Manager
, we'll count on you to:

  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents
  • Maintain accurate daily records of the contractor’s daily activities and the work performed, and of the labor, equipment and materials used
  • Review construction materials for contract compliance
  • Track quantities and develop pay estimates for acceptance
  • Attend and/or chair construction progress meetings
  • Conduct observations of the installation and acceptance testing of completed equipment and systems
  • Identify nonconforming work, develop project punchlists and maintain until corrected
  • Develop record documentation for engineer review/acceptance
  • Assist with project audit/closeout
  • Work under general supervision of a Design Project Manager
  • Supervise and direct the activities of junior Resident Project Representatives and Construction Inspectors, testing services and subconsultants
  • This position is subject to a preemployment drug test
  • This position is subject to a governmental background check
Preferred Qualifications
  • Construction or design certifications
  • Experience with estimating software (Timberline ), scheduling software (Primavera P3 or Sure Trak ), and project management software (Prolog )
  • Ability to interpret construction schedules
  • Tunneling experience / geotechnical engineering
  • Perform constructability reviews and value engineering, cost estimating, submittals, RFI's, FO, CPR's, CO, Pay Applications.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in various aspects of construction planning and management, including field engineering, construction submittals, estimating, scheduling, and site safety
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must
