Location: Lander Valley High School, Lander, Wyoming

Salary: $63,387 minimum (based on 2026-27 salary schedule); full benefits

Contract: Full-time, 185-day contract

Start Date: August 2026

• Candidates must hold, or be eligible to hold, a certificate issued by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board with endorsements in the area of Science (middle and secondary) to include:
  Physical Science, Physics, Earth Science, Chemistry, and Biology and be “highly qualified”.
• Successful experience working with high school students.
• Ability and willingness to coach or advise extracurricular activities.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the wide variety of student abilities and needs.
• Ability and desire to work in a standards-based grading system.
• Ability to work as part of a Professional Learning Community in a collaborative department team.
• Ability to implement RTI and PBIS concepts.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to work with all grade-levels 9-12.
• Commitment to teach to the established standards and benchmarks to ensure student achievement.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to assist the school by serving on school and district committees.
• Willingness to be a team player.
• Desire to continue to grow professionally to better be able to educate students.

The successful candidate will teach Science classes that may include any of those listed in the above qualifications.
