Job Description & How to Apply Below

Tetra Tech invites you to consider a rewarding opportunity as a Reclamation & Restoration Specialist based in our Lander, Wyoming office. This role blends hands‑on fieldwork with rigorous data analysis and reporting; you’ll work regularly in the field and office with experienced ecologists, soil scientists, and geotechnical staff to receive one‑on‑one mentorship, build collaborative relationships across disciplines, and integrate quickly into a multi‑party project team.

Lander is an excellent base for this work—renowned for mountain biking and outdoor recreation—so you’ll enjoy immediate access to exceptional public lands and recreation opportunities outside of work.

In this role you will lead and execute species‑level vegetation monitoring across AML and other reclamation projects, compile and QA/QC data, perform spatial and statistical analyses that link reclamation inputs (seed mixes, amendments, soil treatments, and construction) to ecological performance, and produce clear, data‑driven monitoring reports. You’ll conduct site reconnaissance to evaluate erosion, channel and slope stability, and shallow mine‑void/subsidence mitigation measures;

mentor junior staff in plant  field methods; coordinate with agency partners and working groups across Wyoming; and provide field‑level technical observations to inform reclamation design and construction oversight. While your primary focus will be statewide AML work out of Lander, you will also have opportunities to support other Wyoming projects and collaborate with Tetra Tech offices across the western U.S.
