Key Responsibilities:- Assist with evaluating and developing water resources that support agricultural, municipal, and industrial water supplies.
- Flood control and floodplain management.
- Complete technical research.
- Perform design calculations and data analysis.
- Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and drafting figures.
- Prepare construction plan sets and specifications.
- Prepare technical memorandums, reports, and permit applications.
- Develop cost estimates, work plans and health & safety plans.
- Conduct field data collection.
- 0-8+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, water resources engineering, environmental engineering, natural resources, or related field.
- Degree coursework focused on hydrology / hydraulics.
- Master’s degree in related fields preferred but not required.
- Engineer-in-training (E.I.T.) or plans to obtain E.I.T. within 6 months.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) or plans to obtain P.E. in the future.
- AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Sewer Gems, GIS or other hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software is preferred but not required.
- Strong initiative to complete tasks and motivation to learn.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness and able to produce high-quality deliverables.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to handle assignments and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- A history of positive team interactions and an ability to work well with others.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel to client locations and other Trihydro offices.
- Acceptable driving record.
