PREFERENCES/AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:

The position requires a Wyoming State Board of Nursing Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license (APRN) with prescriptive authority and Wyoming State Board of Pharmacy certification.

KNOWLEDGE:
  • Knowledge of medicine and/or nursing including pediatric, obstetrical, gynecological, surgical, and /or emergency outpatient medical care.
  • Knowledge of prescription and non‑prescription medications.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic laboratory and radiological tests.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance methods and techniques.
  • Knowledge of Public Health initiatives and outcomes.
  • Knowledge of evidence‑based medicine.
  • Knowledge of current state and federal regulations related to the profession and governing regulations for an Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
  • Skills in computer usage and use of electronic health records.
  • Ability to work with and around WLRC residents, including those who may display challenging behaviors.
  • Ability to maintain current provider cards in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Skills in written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate effectively and positively with residents, staff, families, guardians, and the public.
