Ultrasound Technician
The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatient populations under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. This role involves performing various sonographic examinations, ensuring the highest quality of imaging for accurate diagnoses.
Responsibilities- Conduct abdominal and pelvic sonograms including gynecological and obstetrical exams.
- Perform transvaginal sonography and scanning of small parts such as the thyroid, breast, and scrotum.
- Execute ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage procedures, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations.
- Adhere to departmental protocols and ensure a high standard of patient care.
Shifts are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure- Must be a graduate of an accredited AMA school and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- Must maintain a State License as a general radiographer and/or be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
- Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technician with knowledge of general procedures and Vascular training;
Echo experience is a plus. - Candidates will need to cover both Lander and Riverton campuses.
This is a 13-week contract position.
