Travel ICU Registered Nurse

Health Trust Workforce Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU – Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Lander, Wyoming.

Critical care registered nurses are adept at providing such care in settings where patients have suffered a heart attack, stroke, shock, severe trauma, respiratory distress or other severe medical issues. Specific critical care nurse duties and responsibilities can include:

• Assessing a patient’s condition and planning and implementing patient care plans
• Treating wounds and providing advanced life support
• Assisting physicians in performing procedures
• Observing and recording patient vital signs
• Ensuring that ventilators, monitors and other types of medical equipment function properly / adjusting ventilator / IABP
• Administering intravenous fluids and medications
• Suctioning
• Collaborating with fellow members of the critical care team
• Responding to life‑saving situations, using nursing standards and protocols for treatment
• Acting as patient advocate
• Providing education and support to patient families
• Care for pre‑ and post‑operative patients
• Serve as case managers, policy makers, and perform administrative duties (where applicable)

Facility Requirements:

• Must have ACLS, BLS & PALS/ENPC & TNCC (preferred but not required); certifications must be attached to submission packet (must be through the American Heart Association)
• May be responsible for taking care of pediatric/adolescent patients on occasion (Sage West does not have dedicated peds unit)
• Must have WY RN license, must be attached to resume
• Must have 2 years recent ICU RN experience
• Candidates might need to float between the Lander & Riverton campuses depending on facility census
