Travel RN Med Surg

Overview

Health Trust Workforce Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Lander, Wyoming.

• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles.
• Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Prepare and administer (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions according to policy.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures and post-treatment home care needs; provide patient education plans as prescribed by physicians.
• Record patients’ medical information and vital signs; monitor and adjust specialized equipment; interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action when the patient displays adverse symptomatology; respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol.
• Provide bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients.
• Assists in discharge planning and supports efficient time management; document all care information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting.

• ACLS, BLS & PALS certifications (through the American Heart Association) must be attached to submission.
• Wyoming RN license required and attached to resume.
• EMR experience and other common qualifications may apply as listed by the employer.
• Provide relevant clinical experience and indicate willingness to travel as required.

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
