ResponsibilitiesPerforms plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Appropriately assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Circulates during C/Sections, attends deliveries assisting the physician as needed. Follows appropriate policies during the recovery and care of surgical patients. Attends the neonatal station in the C/Section suite and completely assesses the neonate post delivery.
Attends fetal monitoring certification classes every two years. Attends STABLE certification class if offered is NRP certified. Able to identify necessary information to be communicated to physicians and patients.
- Must have ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE & AWHONN certifications; must be attached to submission (Must be through the American Heart Association)
- Must have WY RN or RN compact license license, must be attached to resume
- Must have 2 years recent RN Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN & L&D/LDRP experience
- This can include taking care of OB/GYN patients (post-op hysterectomy), Antepartum care, Triage care, Labor and Delivery care, and Postpartum
- Candidate may be required to float to another unit depending on facility census. This will only be as helping hands or as sitter
