- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients.
- Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
- Prepare and administer medications orally, subcutaneously, or IV, and record prescriptions.
- Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments per policy.
- Educate patients on surgical procedures.
- Record patient medical information and vital signs.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret electronic displays.
- Initiate corrective action when patients display adverse symptoms.
- Provide bedside care for a variety of medical patients, including pre‑ and post‑surgery patients.
- Initiate patient education plans as prescribed by physicians.
- Teach patients and families home care needs after treatment.
- Change dressings, insert catheters, start IV's.
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
- Respond to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards and protocols.
- Participate in discharge planning.
- Utilize time‑management skills.
- Record all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms.
- Perform other position‑related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting.
- ACLS, BLS & PALS certifications (must be through the American Heart Association).
- Valid WY RN or multi‑state RN license.
- Experience in Med/Surge nursing (pre‑ and post‑surgery care); preferred prior travel nursing experience.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
