Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Key Responsibilities- Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments; appropriately assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family as appropriate.
- Circulate during C-Sections, attend deliveries assisting the physician as needed, and follow appropriate policies during recovery and care of surgical patients.
- Attend the neonatal station in the C-Section suite and completely assess the neonate post-delivery.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate and provide patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances; serve as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Active Wyoming RN license or multi-state RN license required.
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, and/or L&D/LDRP settings.
- Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN certifications required; all must be issued through the American Heart Association where applicable.
- Experience may include care of OB/GYN patients (post-op hysterectomy), antepartum care, triage, labor and delivery, and postpartum care.
- Must maintain fetal monitoring certification (renewal every two years).
- Prior travel nursing experience in a women's services or OB/GYN setting.
- Previous experience working in a community hospital environment, either in a permanent or contract capacity.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems used in acute care settings.
