Job Title

This position provides comprehensive case management and eligibility determination for the Child Care Assistance program.

Open until filled. This position operates within a modernized, statewide caseload model, managing cases by ensuring compliance, reviewing documentation for accuracy, and proactively requesting information from families. The role centers on streamlining the eligibility process to support working families, emphasizing accuracy and efficiency through our digital application and enrollment system. • Determines eligibility for the Child Care Assistance program based on established income, activity, and other program guidelines.
• Manages a statewide caseload within the modernized child care system, focusing on case accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Reviews application data, verifies documentation, and proactively requests necessary information from clients to determine or maintain eligibility.
• Maintains comprehensive case files and electronic databases, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Provides high-quality customer service by responding to client inquiries and assisting families with the child care enrollment process.
• Collaborates with other department staff, child care providers, and community partners to support family stability and program success.
• Participates in quality assurance activities and supports process improvements for the modernized child care system.
• Assists with audits and hearings by compiling necessary exhibits and providing written or verbal testimony as required.
• May assist with other Economic Security Programs, as needed.

Preference may be given to applicants who are detail-oriented, multi-task capable, organized, and able to prioritize; good communicators both orally and in writing, and have customer service experience.

Knowledge of effective interviewing techniques, including attitudes, behaviors, and value judgments, affects worker-client relationships.

Knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and manuals.

Knowledge of community and governmental resources and programs, and how to access them.

Knowledge of agency computer systems and their application.

Knowledge of general office procedures.

Knowledge of state and federal criminal justice processes.

All positions within the Department of Family Services will require a background information check, including the taking of fingerprints, which will be completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation, the Department of Family Services, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, for every successful applicant.
