Position Summary

The Maintenance Electrician Mechanic is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment within a manufacturing or production environment. This role supports safe, efficient operations by ensuring equipment reliability and compliance with safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Install, modify, repair, and maintain equipment and machinery, including pneumatic systems, electrical conduit, wiring, outlets, fixtures, transformers, panel boards, AC and DC motors, and relay/control equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair programmable logic controllers (PLC).
  • Perform preventative maintenance and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Complete all required process and product documentation related to work performed.
  • Support equipment changeovers, setup, and operation of production machinery.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices and assist with other duties as assigned.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and protocols.
  • Work assigned shifts as required, including being on call when the plant is in operation.
  • Identify and resolve problems efficiently and collaborate effectively in team-based problem-solving situations.
Skills and Competencies
  • Knowledge of the metric system and AC/DC control circuits.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Strong basic math skills and experience working with computer hardware.
  • Forklift operator certification preferred.
  • Toolmaker skills are a plus.
  • Electrical training from a technical school or two-year college, or equivalent hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Electrician (required).
