Tilesetters lead hand

• Work location:
  
  On the road (frequent travel required)
• Salary: CA $35.00 to 37.00 per hour (to be negotiated), 30 hours per week
• Terms of employment:
  Permanent, full‑time
• Start:
  As soon as possible

• Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be covered
• Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using hand trowel
• Prepare rough plans and sketches
• Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base
• Align and straighten tiles
• Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
• Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
• Supervise other workers
• Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural and floor designs
• Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires and brackets
• Cut, surface, polish and install marble and granite
• Estimate costs and materials
• Mix, lay and polish terra surfaces

• Experience:
  
  1 to less than 2 years in tiling or a related trade
• Education:
  
  Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Must be authorized to work in Canada (permanent resident or valid work permit)
