The Township of Langley is seeking a Support Clerk to enhance customer service delivery in the Engineering Division. This temporary position is essential for processing enquiries and engineering permit applications.
As a Support Clerk, you will work closely with the Manager of Administration and Business Services and act as a vital communication link for internal and external inquiries. Candidates should excel at managing multiple responsibilities while consistently delivering high-quality customer service. A comprehensive understanding of municipal procedures gives you the edge in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive and distribute engineering permit applications
• Handle enquiries and resolve complaints efficiently
• Maintain records and retrieve information as needed
• Support the Engineering and Public Works Divisions
• Carry out additional administrative tasks as requested
Requirements:
• Grade 12 completion with relevant qualifications
• Experience in a similar role preferred
• Knowledge of engineering permit processes
• Strong recordkeeping and indexing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
